Everybody Wang Chung tonight
Kate and I had guests this weekend. Melio drove down from Pittsburgh and Kelly from New York.
Here are the highlights -
- Kate cut my hair (and I get to check hourly for evidence of receding hairline).
- Melio and I sprayed my stencil on a warehouse in downtown Raleigh. (picture next Sunday?) We did it in fluorescent pink and it looks HOTT. It's going to blow some people's minds.
- We toasted the aforementioned Chet (a.k.a. "Barton") boisterously on the occasion of his 30th birthday.
- Melio managed to get into at least twenty theological, religious, or spiritual discussions with various people in two days. I consider him unlucky for that, but I did have the distinction of getting into a rather pointed theological conversation with a very drunk friend, who told me that he believed religion was the most dangerous thing on earth.
- I had a Corona (a beer, not a halo) for the first time last night. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
- Kate and I saw some improv comedy, oddly enough. I thought Kate was going to die, given her intense hatred for watching awkward performances of any kind, but she made it! I'm so proud of her. The group that we were there to see (friends of Kelly from NYC) were actually really good.
- AND, I ate some delicious pork ribs at Mama Dip's in Chapel Hill. Strongly recommended for those with the means.
