this is going to be short. i just have to ask, why is it that on every freaking TV show nowadays a car MUST blow up? it's kind of something i'm not into but i'm forced to watch. i'm not entertained by it. it's not like i sit at home and say "HOLY F(*$& AWESOME THAT CAR JUST BLEWED UP!!!!!1". it seems not to matter to tv directors though how played out this stuff is. whether it's Heroes, 24, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Scrubs - or even new shows like Bionic Woman or Chuck - a car is pretty much guaranteed to blow up.
how often do cars blow up? if i based reality on television, i'd guess that in any given metropolitan area, a car explodes in to a big fire ball at least 3 times a week during primetime.
i guess if i lived somewhere like Iraq, cars exploding would be pretty normal. [ZING!]
Even my beloved show, The Office, isn't safe!
[MILD SPOILER] Just this week The Office (almost literally) jumped the shark when Michael Scott drove his rental car into a lake because the Navigation system said so. [/MILD SPOILER]
Is it too much to ask for decent writing or just simple jokes? I guarantee you, if TV continues as is, and they ever brought a show like Seinfeld back, they'd blow up a car in under 5 minutes. I end this with a final plea. Dear Networks, please stop exploding things, you're not James Bond.
