out on international escapades

|

okay, so i bet most of you have been thinking that i've been neglecting my blog. well that's not the truth. the truth is that i've been out and about on some international escapades. you see, i've been involved in a crackdown on the IRA. its all outlined in an article from the Observer, a london newspaper. and incase you think this one is fake, just do a google search under "david rupert IRA" and you'll pull up article blurbs that say "Real IRA members wanted double-agent David Rupert dead". no kidding. do it quick because the AP will rip you off if you want to view any article in their archives. so i think i'll hype up this spy issue. d@ve rupert: double agent.

last night i was at starbucks (don't ask me why, but it was next to a burrito restaurant so i saw it convenient to wait to eat there). anyways, there was this couple next to me...i guess i had questions about whether or not they were in an adulturous relationship or not just because of a vibe that i got, but after awhile these two get to talking and they're talking loud. i'm just trying to read, and as it turns out they both work in the plastic surgeon industry (the male being a doctor), and they're just flappin their gums about breast implants and computer generated models of such a thing, and how just a minor difference in incision can make a difference of a centimeter. i know this is just work for them, but please folks! it was weird.

i've seen two shows this week. one was my friend richard's band "arkay". arkay was stinking radical. i think they'll rock the scene. and they are pretty much my ideal style of contemplative indie/emo rokkin. then this band got up after them called "knife in the water". basically they were a case study for all the reasons not to do drugs. it was bad and it kinda crashed me. i wanted leave and go to sleep. i stayed a bit for the next band called "slow reader" (x-impossibles members). pretty good show. same set up almost as arkay, but honestly, i thought arkay was better and more efficent.
i also saw my friend naomi's band, dorcus ham, play. they were good as usual. i got kind of distracted by a bunch of deaf people (at a concert!?) at the show who were signing a bunch of stuff. i felt like i was in the middle of a deaf hook up connection (straight and bi-sexual), that felt weird so i moved to the back. it was that feeling where you know that something is going on behind you but you don't have a clue what it is, that's why i moved because now i could see their hands and faces move. its really an expressing thing that sign language.

conversation with a street preacher

|

good work team, WAPA i hear has submitted to our constant assault and is reported to send the money soon. we'll see for sure!! it might be another bluff. we'll see.

i had a 20 minute conversation with a street preacher today asking him to change his approach. he didn't like that because he was ordained by God for this. its an interesting experience, ask me about it some time if you see me. keyword: streetpreacher.

been an eventful day thus far. back to urdu because i've done my 45 minutes of work for the day.

CNN.com - Rioters burn newspaper office over Miss World - Nov. 21, 2002 toward the bottom of this article you can read. "At least one Muslim group has embarked on a campaign of "black prayers" wishing plagues of illness and bad luck upon organizers and participants." - what the heck is that about? that isn't outlined in muslim awareness week.
